Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binder resin for toner for producing toner that is excellent in low-temperature fixability, storage stability, and durability, as well as toner for electrophotography containing the binder resin, and a method of manufacturing the toner.SOLUTION: A binder resin for toner contains a crystalline polyester obtained by polycondensing an alcohol component containing 90.0-99.8 mol% of straight chain aliphatic diol having 2-6 carbon atoms and 0.2-2.0 mol% of cyclohexanediol, and a carboxylic acid component containing an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid compound having 8-12 carbon atoms.
