Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently assemble an elevator car.SOLUTION: According to this embodiment, a connection device 30 for connecting a first side plate 11 and a second side plate 12 of the elevator car includes a connection bolt 31 penetrating a first through hole 21 and a second through hole 22 in a manner that a bolt head 31a is situated on a side where the first side plate 11 lies, a connection nut 33 screwed to the connection bolt 31 to catch edge faces 16 of the first side plate 11 etc., an elastic member 37 arranged between the connection nut 33 and the bolt head 31a, enclosing a screw 31b and capable of expansion and contraction, and a pressing member 34. The pressing member 34 is formed with an inclined face 34a in a manner that the outer circumferential diameter becomes small as approaching the edge face 16 of the first side plate 11, and when pressed toward the second side plate 12, the inclined face 34a contacts with the inner peripheral surface of the first through hole 21.
