Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for inspecting a belt of a belt conveyer, which can perform inspection work comparatively simply and determine the quality of the belt even in the belt conveyer conveying an object.SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: an X-ray generator 13 arranged at any one side of the upper side and lower side of a return side belt 12 used for the belt conveyer; an X-ray line sensor 14 arranged on the other side of the belt 12 and capable of receiving transmission X-rays from the X-ray generator 13; and control means 16 for creating an X-ray transmission image from the transmission quantity of X-rays passed through the belt 12 and the position of the X-ray by an output from the X-ray line sensor 14.
