Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water gage system which allows water level to be measured with improved accuracy.SOLUTION: The light beams from an ASE light source 1 are emitted in a predetermined direction by an optical circulator 2a. The light beams having a specific wavelength among the light beams from the optical circulator 2a are reflected by, for example, an aerial FBG 3 to be outputted into an optical fiber 20 through the optical circulator 2a. When the outputted light beams are reflected by, for example, an underwater FBG 8 which is disposed at the tip of the optical fiber 20 so as to reflect the light beams having the same specific wavelength as of those reflected by the aerial FBG 3 and shift the reflection wavelength at least with changes in temperature, the spectrum of the reflected light beams having the shifted reflection wave length is observed by an optical spectrum analyzer 13, so that a pressure change at a specific position can be recognized, which is assumed as a change in water level. The change in water level is thus can be identified. |
