Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide detection of forgery of, illegal change and/or duplication of documents.SOLUTION: A fluorescent mark indicator includes: a substrate containing optical brightening agents; a first colorant printed as an image on a paper substrate and providing a property of strongly suppressing substrate fluorescence, as well as a property of low contrast under normal illumination against the substrate; and a second colorant printed as an image on the substrate in substantial spatial proximity to the first printed colorant, such that the resultant colorant substrate image suitably exposed to an ultra-violet light source, yields a discernable image evident as a fluorescent mark. |
