Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect action force applied between guide wheels and guide rails over a wide range of a traveling road while suppressing installation cost.SOLUTION: A track-based vehicle V includes guide wheels 11 in contact with guide rails 1 and a steering mechanism 20 having a support frame 21 rotatably supporting the guide wheels 11 and capable of steering traveling tires 14 in accordance with the displacement of the support frame 21. A detection device 60 includes a detector 61 attached to the support frame 21 to detect the deformation volume of the support frame 21 and an action force computing unit 70 for finding out guide wheel action force from the deformation volume detected by the detector 61.
