PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of producing metal nano-particles having small particle diameters and uniform particle diameter distribution and almost free from aggregation without the need of an expensive apparatus and a complicated operation.SOLUTION: The method for producing metal nano-particles is based on a flow system. The method includes: mixing a first raw material solution containing a metal source compound, a hydrophilic organic solvent and an organic compound capable of coordinating to the metal source compound and a second raw material solution containing a hydrophilic organic solvent to prepare a final raw material solution; and heating and pressurizing the final raw material solution to bring the hydrophilic organic solvent into a supercritical state and subjecting the resultant solvent to a solvothermal process.
