Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a required amount of hydrogen without a large-scale mechanism.SOLUTION: A sheet material 7 is wound by a winding roll 6 to move the sheet material 7 to a pressing roll 8 side, and consequently a hydrogen-generating body 15 is pressed and crushed to break a partition. Then, a solution for reaction is brought into contact with a metal hydride to generate a hydrogen-generating reaction, and then hydrogen is generated, and the hydrogen thus generated is discharged into a reaction chamber 2.
