Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved class-E amplifier for bringing simultaneous high power and high power added efficiency (PAE) over a broader frequency range.SOLUTION: A two-stage class-E high power amplifier 100 comprises a driver stage 102, a class-E inter-stage matching network (ISMN) 104, and a high power stage 106 using a load circuit. The load circuit comprises a series inductive-capacitive network coupled to output of a switching mode circuit, and a circuit for providing a capacitance coupled to the output of the switching mode circuit.
