Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable channel registration required by a user even when the receivable number of channels exceeds the registrable number of channels in a television signal reception device.SOLUTION: On detection of a new receivable channel in a state that the registered number of channels reaches the specified number during performing automatic search, the television signal reception device tentatively suspends the automatic search, and displays a deletion method selection screen 50 (refer to Fig. 5(a)). When a user selects to specify and delete a channel, a deletion channel specification screen 60 (refer to Fig. 5(b)) is displayed. When the user specifies a channel to be deleted, the specified channel is deleted and thereafter, the automatic search is resumed. When the user selects to automatically delete a channel according to a receiving level, the channel of a low receiving level is deleted and thereafter, the automatic search is resumed.
