Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a risk in a conventional system provided for improving operability of instrument with respect to a continuously extendable access system where arrangement of an extendable part is likely to inadvertently oppress sensitive tissues adjoining a surgical target site or collide with the tissues.SOLUTION: A system accesses the surgical target site. The system includes a distraction assembly where a plurality of blades are attachably or detachably coupled with a handle assembly. The plurality of blades can simultaneously be advanced toward the surgical target site while placed in a closure position. Subsequently, individually-adjusted surgical corridors selectively opened and reaching the surgical target site are provided.
