Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scintillation detector that improves light focusing on a light receiving surface of a photomultiplier tube and measures, with high sensitivity, ionizing radiation being emitted from an object to be measured having a large area or a large volume.SOLUTION: A scintillation detector 10 comprises: a scintillator 12 emitting excitation light when ionizing radiation 18 having passed through a light shield part 11 is incident; a light guiding part 13 supporting the scintillator 12 and allowing the excitation light to pass; a photomultiplier tube 21 for allowing the excitation light having passed through the light guiding part 13 to be incident on a light receiving surface 22 to convert into an electric signal; a case 17 for housing at least the light receiving surface 22 in an internal space 16 formed by the case and the light guiding part 13; and a fine structure layer 14 provided on a portion or an entirety of a surface of the light guiding 13 exposed to the internal space 16.
