Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for manufacturing a composite wire for thermal spraying, which can improve manufacturing efficiency and cope with manufacturing of various kinds of wires with different wire diameters.SOLUTION: The apparatus for manufacturing a composite wire for thermal spraying includes: a hoop material unwinding roller 12 around which a flat hoop material 1 is wound; a front stage wire shaping device 14 for shaping the flat hoop material sequentially in a U-shape, in a half circle and in a circle; a powder feeding device 16 for feeding a powdery function development material to the flat hoop material 1 when shaping the flat hoop material 1 by the front stage wire shaping device 14; an intermediate winding roller 18 provided on an outlet side of the front stage wire shaping device; a rear stage wire shaping device 20 for shaping the tubular wire shaped by the front stage wire shaping device 14 into a wire with a thinner diameter; and a final winding roller 22 for winding the thermal spraying composite wire shaped by the rear stage wire shaping device 20.
