PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display apparatus capable of measuring both screen light and environment light without increasing the number of components and cost.SOLUTION: An image display apparatus of the present invention is characterized in including a display panel, a bezel encompassing the display panel, and a light measuring unit provided in a part of the bezel and capable of measuring light, the light measuring unit being provided rotatably between a first state for facing outward from the device and measuring the environment light, and a second state for facing the display panel and measuring the screen light.
