Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combustion cartridge to mitigate dynamic pressure variation in a combustion chamber.SOLUTION: A combustor 20 includes: a center body 60 having a tubular inner wall 61; a cartridge 70 disposed within the tubular inner wall 61 to define an outer annular space 75 between an outer surface 71 thereof and the tubular inner wall 61 and an inner annular space 76 having an open end 77 and a closed end 78 opposite the open end 77; and an insert 80 disposed within the outer annular space 75 to envelop the cartridge 70 proximate to the open end 77, the insert including a body having a tubular forward portion and a partially tubular aft portion. The partially tubular aft portion thereby forms a recessed track 120 having a longitudinal axis substantially aligned with a longitudinal axis of the outer annular space 75.
