Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent for a separating membrane containing an oxidant as an effective component, wherein its detergency is more enhanced; and to provide a cleaning method using the same.SOLUTION: The detergent for the separating membrane has a composition including an oxidant, a nitroxy radical and a nitrite salt. Since by making such a composition, when the oxidant as an effective component of the detergent chemically oxidatively decomposes clogging substances of the separating membrane, the nitroxy radical acts as a catalyst, and the nitrite salt acts as a promoter, the detergency of the detergent can be enhanced. As a result, removal of clogging substances firmly adhering and depositing on the separating membrane is promoted, and additionally, the use amount of the oxidant can be reduced and the cleaning time can be reduced; and further, since a load to a membrane filtering apparatus can be reduced, the life of the apparatus is anticipated to be elongated. |
