Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop normally without abnormally stopping a whole system even if abnormality occurs in an auxiliary machine, a controller for controlling the auxiliary machine, and a power supply unit for supplying power source voltage to the auxiliary machine and the controller in a fuel cell system.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system comprises: a first control group G1 consisting of an auxiliary machine 15 for supplying fuel and oxidant gas to a fuel cell 11d, a system controller 17 for controlling the auxiliary machine 15, and a first power supply unit 31 for supplying power to the auxiliary machine 15 and the system controller 17; a second control group G2 consisting of an inverter controller 16c for controlling an inverter 33 and capable of communicating with the system controller 17 with each other, and a second power supply unit 32 for supplying power to the inverter controller 16c; and operation stop means, when any component constituting either one of the first control group G1 or the second control group G2 is in an abnormal state, for stopping operation of the fuel cell system by control of the other controller.
