PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system that facilitates retrieving and pasting operations of materials for documents referred to from electronic media when a reader creates his or her thesis, study report, etc.SOLUTION: When a file of a document of the whole electronic medium is created, indexes are created in units of pages and lines, and text information is reconstructed to be adapted to independent access in details from character parts, picture parts, figure parts, etc. up to indexes and appendixes of the text. Further, book information on "book name," "author name," etc. is similarly reconstructed. A complete electronic medium for an electronic book is downloaded and provided for readers, and reference parts are stored in a temporary storage area from the electronic book by a function of enclosing and extracting the reference parts. After a series of extracting operations is completed, extracted parts are sent out to the outside (the thesis, study report, etc. of the reader).
