Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for a fuel injection pump to reduce the pressure feeding quantity of fuel when the atmospheric pressure is lower than a predetermined value.SOLUTION: The fuel injection pump 100, which includes a plunger barrel 112, a plunger 111 and a control rack 224 and controls the pressure feeding quantity of the fuel by rotating the plunger 111 by the control rack 224, includes: an air pressure sensor PS detecting the atmospheric pressure; an electromagnetic solenoid 225 driven based on the detected result of the air pressure sensor PS; a pressure feeding quantity limiting lever 226 rotationally moved by the electromagnetic solenoid 225; a tension lever 222 rotationally moved by the pressure feeding quantity limiting lever 226; and a governor lever 223 rotationally moved by the tension lever 222 to drive the control rack 224. The pressure feeding quantity of the fuel is reduced by driving the electromagnetic solenoid 225 when the atmospheric pressure is lower than the predetermined value.
