PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body side part structure having a structure capable of absorbing collision energy at its initial stage.SOLUTION: This vehicle body side part structure has a center pillar 2 extending in a vertical direction and a locker 3 extending in a forward or rearward direction of the vehicle body at the lower part of the center pillar 2. The center pillar 2 has an outer member 2a arranged outside the vehicle body and an inner member 2b arranged inside the vehicle body to keep the body part of the center pillar 2 formed into a cylindrical shape by the outer member 2a and the inner member 2b. The outer member 2a has an extending piece 2a2 further extending downward from the cylindrical body of the center pillar 2 along the locker 3. A lower fixing part 2c welded at an outside part of the locker 3 in a vehicle width direction is formed within a lower region of the extending piece 2a2. An extending part 2d capable of being extended in a longitudinal direction of the center pillar 2 upon acceptance of force from outside the vehicle body by the center pillar 2 is formed within an upper region of the extending piece 2a2.
