Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize a device as a whole by making the operation of two functions common in a single operation knob and reducing a number of the operation knobs.SOLUTION: In an operating device 1, by the axial movement of a shaft member 5, a transmitting member 7 and a first transmitted member 14 are engaged at a first position, and the transmitting member 7 and a second transmitted member 19 are engaged at a second position, and those are integrally rotated. A display member 25 moves along a back surface of a display board 3 with the axial movement of the shaft member 5. A display window 6 of the display board 3 and a first mark of the display member 25 are superimposed when the shaft member 5 is at the first position. The display window 6 of the display board 3 and a second mark of the display member 25 are superimposed when the shaft member 5 is at the second position. Light source switching means detects the rotating positions of the first transmitted member 14 and the second transmitted member 19 and whether the shaft member 5 is at the first position or at the second position, and lights up a specific light-emission diode 30 on the basis of the detection to display the first mark or the second mark in the display window 6.
