PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with improved display characteristics.SOLUTION: A display device comprises a display panel, a panel driving circuit, a backlight unit, and a backlight control circuit. The backlight control circuit supplies to the backlight unit, control signals that separately control a first time section corresponding to two frames in which first and second video data are supplied to the display panel and a second time section corresponding to two frames in which third and fourth video data are supplied to the display panel in a first blinking time section, a second blinking time section, a third blinking time section, and a fourth blinking time section in accordance with time order.
