PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a louver window which can improve an external appearance by a frame body concealing both end parts of a louver blade in a width direction in indoor view and which is excellent in the attaching workability of the louver blade.SOLUTION: The louver window includes a frame body, a louver blade, and an opening and closing mechanism which opens and closes the louver blade in a sliding manner. The opening and closing mechanism includes a holder 33 holding the louver blade. The louver blade has a width longer than the distance of the shortest part of distances between the inside surfaces of the vertical frame of the frame body in a width direction and also is held in a detachable manner from the holder in a posture that the opening and closing mechanism is attached to the frame body. A standing part 35 forming a clearance to hold the louver blade is provided on the holder. The standing part 35 arranged on the outdoor side of the holder nearest to an upper horizontal frame is arranged at a position which does not contact with the outdoor side louver blade, even when the holder is moved in a sliding manner in a posture which the upper end of the outdoor side louver blade is inserted into the hollow part of the upper horizontal frame.
