Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid machine which can improve the volume efficiency of equipment by reducing the flow amount of a leakage flow from a seal part between a rotary part and a stationary part.SOLUTION: In the fluid machine in an embodiment, the seal part 31 including an annular minute clearance is formed between a runner band 15 of a runner 12 constituting the rotary part and a seal liner 22 as a fixed part provided in opposition to the runner band 15. On a surface 24 of the seal liner 22 constituting the seal part 31, a groove 40 having a square shape is formed in the peripheral direction. In a cross section perpendicular to the groove forming direction of the groove 40, an angle between a side WU of the groove 40 on the most upstream side with respect to the flowing direction of a leakage flow and a side W0 of the groove 40 on an extension of the surface 24 of the seal liner 22 is 15-40°.
