Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin type lithium battery using a graphite fluoride having an excellent discharge characteristic in a temperature of 100°C or more for a positive electrode.SOLUTION: The coin type lithium battery includes a positive electrode 2 using the graphite fluoride for a positive active material, a negative electrode 1 using lithium or lithium alloy for a negative active material and a separator 5, being sealed together with a nonaqueous electrolyte in an outer package composed of a battery case, a sealing plate and a gasket. The coin type lithium battery is characterized in that the negative electrode 1 having a diameter of 0.30 or more and 0.35 or less to the positive electrode 2.
