Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide apparatus and guide method in which, even when a language that a partner to be communicated speaks is not known, the language can be determined.SOLUTION: Guide information is displayed (S23), an expression of a target person to observe the guide information is monitored (S22), and the monitored expression of the target person is determined (S25). During display of the guide information, in accordance with the determined expression of the target person, contents of a message to the target person are determined, and the message is displayed for the target person (S28-S32).
