Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element and the like, enhanced in photoelectric conversion characteristics and durability.SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion element equipped with a working electrode having a dye-carrying metal oxide electrode uses a dye having a structure represented by formula (I), wherein: A is a structure in which the maximum absorption wavelength λin an ethanol solution is 350 to 500 nm; B is a cyanine skeleton in which the maximum absorption wavelength λin an ethanol solution is 500 to 700 nm; Zis one divalent coupling group selected from -CONR-, -NRCO-, SONR- and -NRSO-, and R in Zis a hydrogen atom, a 1-8C alkyl group and a 7-20C arylalkyl group; Yand Yare each independently a 1-8C alkylene group or a single bond; and r is 1 or 2, m and n are each independently an integer of 0 to 2, and (m+n) is ≥1. |
