Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding unit for an optical element capable of manufacturing a high precision optical element in good yield effectively controlling the thermal deformation of the molding unit thus controlling the thermal deformation of the optical element.SOLUTION: In this molding unit 1, an optical element is placed between an upper mold and a lower mold in a mold 80 and transferred in series, to heating, press molding and cooling stages set in chamber 2, that is, stage 3, 4 and 5 for molding. In each stage of heating, press molding and cooling, the mold 80 is loaded, and for the loaded mold 80, a couple of upper and lower plates 3b, 4b and 5b for each process of heating, press molding and cooling and controlling measures for controlling each process of heating, press molding and cooling are equipped, and there is an oscillating mechanism 5e by which the upper plate 5b at the cooling stage 5 can be declined depending on the inclination of the contacting surface from the mold 80. |
