Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling structure for a rotary electric machine which can properly cool a stator core and coil ends without lowering cooling efficiency regardless of an injection or supply amount of coolant.SOLUTION: The cooling structure for a rotary electric machine includes: a coolant supply section 21 disposed above a shaft center of a rotor shaft RA in a vertical direction and for supplying coolant to a coil end section CE of a stator; a protrusion section 22 which protrudes toward the coil end section CE side and extends to radially inward and downward of the coil end section CE from a portion of a coil end opposing area 70 which is an area opposed to the coil end section CE on an internal surface of a case MC2 housing the stator; a collection section 23 for collecting the distributed coolant running along the protrusion section 22; and a drip section 24 for dripping the coolant collected in the collection section 23. The drip section 24 is disposed radially inner side of the coil end section CE and at a position overlapping with the coil end section CE in an axial direction when viewed in a radial direction. |
