Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle detection device capable of stably fixing an IC package without introducing destruction of a magnetic detection element.SOLUTION: Among sections constituting a cover member 4, a flange section 42 fixed on a throttle body 14 and a supporting section 50 for supporting an IC package 2 are integrally formed by resin. By this arrangement, a position of the supporting section 50 with respect to a valve stem 12 of a throttle valve 11 is stabilized when the cover member 4 is mounted on the throttle body 14. The IC package 2 is supported by the supporting section 50 in such a state that predetermined pressure is exerted on a part of an external wall of an encapsulation body 30 by being force-fitted to the after-formed supporting section 50. By this constitution, the position of the IC package 2 is stabilized with respect to the supporting section 50 and the valve stem 12.
