Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guarantee that devices for connecting a first device to a second device are in an operational state.SOLUTION: A signal transmitter includes: optical cable connectors 11a and 11b for connecting a first device to a second device; an input part 311 for inputting a system power-on signal of a system power source 40; a supply part 312 for supplying electric power inputted from the system power source 40 to the optical cable connectors 11a and 11b when the system power-on signal is inputted; an output part 314 for outputting a delayed system power-on signal to a mother board 30-2; and a card edge 16 connected to the mother board 30-2 so as to input from the mother board 30-2, electric power supplied from the system power source 40 to the mother board 30-2 in accordance with the delayed system power-on signal.
