Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce abnormality occurrence during data communication.SOLUTION: A signal transmission device includes: QSFP connectors 301, 302 capable of mating with an optical transmission medium; a card edge 330 capable of mating with a device; a switch/bridge 320 for relaying an electrical signal that is transmitted to and received from the card edge 330; and repeaters 311, 312 for receiving the electrical signal, into which an optical signal transmitted via the optical transmission medium is converted, from the QSFP connectors 301, 302, adjusting electrical performance of the received electrical signal, and outputting the received electrical signal to the switch/bridge 320. The switch/bridge 320 relays the adjusted electrical signal to the card edge 330 and relays the electrical signal input from the card edge 330 to the QSFP connectors 301, 302.
