Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rehydration type lead storage battery (for use as a self-starter of automobile, etc.) in which recycling is taken into account by using a battery container ensuring good visibility of the level of electrolytic solution while using recycled polypropylene.SOLUTION: A lead storage battery is configured such that in each cell chamber of the battery container made of polypropylene and sectioned into a plurality of cell chambers by partition walls, electrolytic solution and a plurality of electrode plate groups each consisting of a positive electrode and a negative electrode facing each other with a separator interposed therebetween are housed, and then the plurality of electrode plate groups are connected electrically with each other and the opening of the battery container is sealed with a lid. Weight ratio of recycled polypropylene to the polypropylene composing the battery container is set in the range of 10-50%, and the thickness of the battery container on the side of the long side surface is 1.5-2.5 mm. |
