Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of a cyclic amino benzoic acid derivative which is an excellent agonist of a human peroxiosome proliferative-agent receptor (PPAR), is high in efficiency and suitable for industrial production.SOLUTION: The two-nitro benzoic acid ester derivative and a piperidine derivative are made to react with each other, and after reducing a nitro group of an obtained compound, a deamination reaction is performed by using a nitrous acid or its salt and a reducer. Thus, the cyclic aminobenzoic acid derivative being the PPARα agonist and its hydrate are produced.
