Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document lighting device enhancing flexibility of arrangement of a light guiding body, enabling reduction in the size of the device and having high light diffusing effects and excellent effects for reduction in variation of illumination chromaticity and irregular colors on a document reading face, a document reading device including the document lighting device, and an image forming device.SOLUTION: The document lighting device includes: a plurality of light emitting elements 1 which are arranged along a main scanning direction in an irradiation region irradiated with light and emit light having first wavelength λ1 as peak wavelength; a fluorescent member 5 excited by the light from the light emitting elements 1 and emitting light having second wavelength λ2 and third wavelength λ3 as peak wavelength; the light guiding body 4 guiding outgoing light from the light emitting elements 1 to the irradiation region; and a holding member 7 holding the light guiding body 4. The light guiding body 4 comprises a flexible sheet member, and the light from the light emitting elements 1 is delivered to the irradiation region via the light guiding body 4 and the fluorescent member 5. The invention also relates to the document reading device including the document lighting device and the image forming device.
