Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical low-pass filter which is cheap, whose thickness is restricted, and which can be used in an optical system which needs the shortening of the optical length.SOLUTION: An optical low-pass filter according to the present invention which is obtained by photopolymerization of a photopolymerizable composition has a matrix 12 and a plurality of columnar structures 14 arranged in one direction in the matrix. The columnar structures have a different refraction factor from that of the matrix, are arranged in a grid manner in the surface orthogonal to the arrangement direction, and have a structure with high regularity in which the refraction factor changes in the order of 80 nm to 1000 μm.
