Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a selection device capable of selecting reactors for improving a neutral point compensation rate with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A selection device includes: a calculation part to calculate a phase angle of a composite current consisting of a first current from anti-ground electrostatic capacity of electric wires arranged in an electric power system, a second current from plural reactors provided on respective ground sides of neutral points for plural transformers connected to the electric wires, and a third current from resistances provided at respective ground sides of the neutral points for the plural transformers connected to the electric wires, with respect to the third current; a determination part to determine whether the phase angle is larger than a specified value; and a selection part to select reactors to be turned on or off from the plural reactors so as to make the phase angle smaller than the specified value when the phase angle is larger than the specified value.
