Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine-driven work machine that prevents foreign matters from being mixed in air supplied to an air cleaner and sufficiently secures cooling air of an engine.SOLUTION: A chain saw 1 includes: a fan cover 5 for covering a cooling fan 4, a fan case cover 6 arranged outside the fan cover 5 and covering a recoil starter 20, an air intake port 32 opening between an engine cover 3 and the fan cover 5, and a wind guide passage 36 having a communicating part 34 connected to an air cleaner chamber 8 by extending outward in the radial direction of the cooling fan 4 and arranged so that the air intake port 32 and the communicating part 34 overlap a first starter handle support part 25 as viewed in a direction of an axis 19 of a crankshaft 18.
