Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can stabilize supply of hydrogen to a fuel cell.SOLUTION: A fuel battery system 1 contains a fuel storage unit 100 having first to third storage portions 110, 120, 130 in which hydrogen adsorbing alloy is stored, the first and second storage portions 110 and 120 being located at the outermost side and the third storage portion 130 being disposed between the first and second storage portions 110 and 120 so as to come into thermal contact with the first and second storage portions 110 and 120, a pair of fuel cells 300, one of which comes into thermal contact with the first storage portion 110 and the other of which comes into contact with the second storage portion 120, a discharge adjusting valve 538 with which a suppression state in which discharge of hydrogen from the third storage portion 130 is suppressed and a release state in which the suppression state is released can be switched to each other, and a controller for controlling the discharge adjusting valve 538 so that the suppression state is set when the temperature in the third storage portion 130 is less than a predetermined temperature and the release state is set when the temperature in the third storage portion 130 is not less than the predetermined temperature.
