Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle for use both in laser cutting and laser welding, with which assist gas and shield gas are effectively jetted and also an optical system is effectively protected from spatters.SOLUTION: The nozzle includes: an inside nozzle space 107d for emitting a laser beam when performing laser cutting and laser welding; an intermediate nozzle space 107e for jetting the assist gas when performing the laser cutting; a nozzle body 107 for forming an outside nozzle space 107f for jetting the shield gas when performing the laser welding; and a spatter discharging means 106 for discharging the spatters entering the inside nozzle space 107d. Specifically, an assist gas jetting port 107h which is communicated with the intermediate nozzle space 107e and a shield gas jetting port 107j for jetting the shield gas in the outside nozzle space 107f are formed on the nozzle body 107 and the opening area of the shield gas jetting port 107j is made larger than the opening area of the assist gas jetting port 107h.
