Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor and a method of fixing a motor coil capable of reducing the number of steps and labor as well as improving the space factor of a coil in a slot part, reducing the weight of a stator core, and reducing the material cost.SOLUTION: A magnetic fluid 5 containing a resin material is supplied to a coil 3 in a slot part 2A, and the magnetic fluid 5 is made to infiltrate into the gap between the coils 3 by applying a magnetic field to the magnetic fluid 5. In application of the magnetic field, teeth 2B are electrified so that the magnetic field is generated in each slot part 2A as shown, for example, in Figure 4. Then, by electrifying the teeth 2B, an AC magnetic field is applied to the magnetic fluid 5. By causing heat generation at the magnetic fluid 5 by the AC magnetic field, the resin material in the magnetic fluid 5 is solidified. Consequently, a fixing film made of the magnetic fluid 5 is formed inside the slot part 2A.
