Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a metal powder which exhibits good dispersibility when an electrically conductive paste is prepared, and can suppress the catalytic effect of a metal when the electrically conductive paste is heat-treated; a method for producing it; the electrically conductive paste using such the metal powder as this; and a laminated ceramic electronic component using this electrically conductive paste.SOLUTION: A solution containing at least a metal salt and a solution containing at least a reducing agent are mixed to obtain a suspension containing metal particles and a reducing agent by an oxidation-reduction reaction. An organic sulfur compound is incorporated into the obtained suspension, and the mixture is dried to obtain a metal powder in which, on the surface of the metal particle, a bonding with a metal atom and a sulfur atom is formed. Electrically conductive paste is prepared by using this metal powder, and ceramic green sheets in which an internal electrode pattern is formed are laminated and fired to prepare a base body 12 having a ceramic layer 14 and an internal electrode 16. External electrodes 18 are formed on both ends of the base body 12 to obtain a laminated ceramic capacitor 10. |
