Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bread maker having a water container for generating steam and making further excellent bread, the water container improved in usability.SOLUTION: The bread maker includes: a bread container 6 having a kneading blade 9 for kneading a material to be cooked (not shown); the water container 13 being removable, and storing water and generating steam; a baking chamber 4 including a heater 7 for heating the bread container 6 or the water container 13; a motor 3 for rotationally driving the kneading blade 9; and a control device 20 having a plurality of cooking menus and controlling the operation in a cooking process. The water container 13 is projectingly provided with a plurality of tab portions 14 and 15 so that the tab portions do not interfere with each other when being held. When one tab portion 14 of the water container 13 is held, the water container 13 is readily held without bringing the fingers into contact with the other tab portion 15 or water in the water container 13, and mounted to/dismounted from a heater 7, and usability is improved.
