PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear transmission member and a chain of the same for integrally forming chains by injection molding using an upper mold and a lower mold, enabling mass-production, simplifying mechanisms of the molds, and reducing the manufacturing cost of the molds.SOLUTION: The linear transmission member includes: rails each provided with a rail rolling groove on its outer surface; a moving body provided with a moving body rolling grooves fitted to the rail and corresponding to the rolling grooves, loading paths formed between the rail rolling grooves and the moving body rolling grooves, and an endless circulation path formed by connecting both ends of the loading paths with both ends of circulation paths, respectively; a plurality of rolling tools that are rolled in the endless circulation path, allows the moving body to reciprocate wit respect to the rails, and allow a contact rolling trajectory of the rail rolling grooves and the moving body rolling grooves to show a substantially circular load region; and the chain including a strip-shaped connection section that is accommodated in the endless circulation path and has flexibility, and a plurality of partition sections.
