PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filamentous fiber assembly comprising microfibrous cellulose and a method of producing the filamentous fiber assembly simply and efficiently.SOLUTION: A filamentous fiber assembly comprising microfibrous cellulose is provided in which the fiber diameter of the microfibrous cellulose is 2-1000 nm. A method of producing the filamentous fiber assembly comprising the microfibrous cellulose in which a water-based suspension including the microfibrous cellulose is injected in an organic solvent and in which a gelation portion is drawn to be formed into a filamentous form in the organic solvent is provided.
