Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform integrated fusion evaluation of the influence of an active safety technology and a passive safety technology on occupant injury reduction effects, by a fusion test in which a braking deceleration immediately before a collision and a collision deceleration at the time of the collision are reproduced together.SOLUTION: In a pre-crash testing method, a simulated seat 5, a test dummy 7, and a test data measuring instrument 8 are mounted on a pre-crash test truck 4 moving toward a collision barrier 1. The pre-crash testing method includes: a truck traveling procedure (Figure 9) for accelerating a truck traveling speed of the pre-crash test truck 4 from a stopped state to a target truck traveling speed range from which deceleration of the pre-crash test truck 4 is to be started; a truck deceleration procedure (Figure 10) for controlling braking deceleration characteristics in a deceleration period from the start of braking deceleration of the pre-crash test truck 4 in a free-running state to immediately before a collision so that the braking deceleration characteristics fall within a setting range of target braking deceleration characteristics; and a truck collision procedure (Figure 11) for controlling collision deceleration characteristics in a collision period from the start of collision deceleration to the stop of the pre-crash test truck 4 so that the collision deceleration characteristics fall within an allowable range of target collision deceleration characteristics.
