Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device in which an image displayed on the screen of an image display panel can easily capture passersby's consciousness (attention), and an image display system incorporating the same.SOLUTION: This image display device is provided with an image display panel 1, and a rotation driving mechanism 2 which rotates the image display panel 1 around a shaft 11 arranged almost perpendicular to the screen of the panel. The rotation driving mechanism 2 is composed of a support part 3 and a driving part 4. The support part 3 is designed to hold the image display panel 1 in a fixed position so that the panel can rotate around the shaft 11 arranged almost perpendicular to the screen of the panel. On the other hand, the driving part 4 is designed to drive the image display panel 1 around the shaft 11. The image display system is provided with this image display device.
