Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge mechanism that reliably keeps an open/close angle for long-term use.SOLUTION: The hinge mechanism 10 freely openably and closably supports a first casing 2 and a second casing 3 and keeps a predetermined open/close angle. The hinge mechanism includes: a first shaft 11 which is pivotally supported by the first casing 2 and is fixed to the second casing 3; a gear 13 which is integrally installed with the first shaft 11 and has a plurality of teeth 13a; a second shaft 12 which is supported by the first casing 2 so as to be freely rotatable and movable in the radial direction of the first shaft 11 and is arranged between the adjacent teeth 13a of the gear 13; and an biasing device 14 which biases the second shaft 12 to a direction where the second shaft is pressed to the gear 13.
