Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for holding a paintbrush that stores paintbrushes in optimum condition without causing a curvature of a bristle bundle that adversely affects painting works nor causing the bristle bundle to be curled gradually with the lapse of time that makes the bristle bundle unusable.SOLUTION: The paintbrush holder 1 includes: a bridge 2 over an upper end opening 21 of a vessel 20 for painting; a mounting part 3 provided in the bridge 2 for mounting the bridge 2 on an end edge 22 that constitutes the upper end opening 21 of the vessel 20; a pinch holder 4 provided in the bridge 2 for pinching a handle 31 of the paintbrush 30 while standing the paintbrush with directing the bristle bundle 32 side downward to hold it.
