After connecting the repeaters 10A to 30A with cables 40, 41 in turn, respectively, each of the repeaters 10A to 30A is provided with an ID switch 160 for setting a different address and an arrangement adapted for feeding identifications 1, 2 of different states corresponding to states of the connection of the cable 40, 41 so that access to the repeaters 10A to 30A from an external device which is formed of a monitoring and control PC 140 may be performed from one of the repeaters 10A to 30A.
